Pros & Cons of Living in Bethesda, MD!
Bethesda Maryland is one of the most sought after places to live in Montgomery County. From its proximity to Washington D.C., to it’s high ranking public and private schools, Bethesda is a great choice! Here are my top Pros & Cons of Bethesda, MD!
Pros
Restaurants Bethesda
Has a plethora of different restaurants to choose from. Some of my favorites are Raku and Mon Ami Gabi, both located on Woodmont Avenue in downtown Bethesda. There is also Bethesda restaurant week where you can try different restaurants. Each restaurant will offer various courses and prices for their prix fixe menus. It’s a lot of fun! https://www.bethesda.org/bethesda/savor-bethesda
Outdoor Activities
check out the capital crescent trail which starts in Bethesda and goes right into Georgetown D.C. There is also a bike share in Bethesda so you can ride a bike or take a walk. And don’t forget Rock Creek Park https://www.nps.gov/rocr/index.htm. There’s so much to do!
Location
Bethesda borders D.C. and has 2 metro stations, (Bethesda and NIH), that take you right into D.C. For a quick commute, you can’t beat Bethesda!
Schools
Some of the highest ranking public and private schools are right here in Bethesda. Take a look at : https://www.greatschools.org/maryland/bethesda/
Weather
Here in Maryland, we get all four Seasons. Hot, balmy summers, gorgeous Fall and Spring and a bit of snow in the winter.
Jobs
NIH and Walter Reed are both located in Bethesda. Add that to the many government jobs in D.C., Bethesda is rocking it with employment.
Cons
